Ergobaby Metro worked well for us (my daughter only napped in the pram, so good for sleep was a must!), so well we sold the travel system and used it full time! We picked it because it had a higher weight limit than many compact pushchairs (a lot were 15kg) and my daughter was 90th percentile for weight and 99th for height, and as I didn't drive I knew I'd be needing the pushchair longer than most!
Metro worked so well they 'sold the travel system and used it full time'. Chose for higher weight limit (daughter 90th weight, 99th height). Good for pram naps.
I love the Ergobaby Metro. We were planning to get a Pop, until the man in John Lewis showed us how long they are folded, and that it still wouldn't fit easily in the boot of our Fiesta. Then he introduced us to pushchairs that fold into the size of hand luggage and my mind was blown! We bought the Metro for Nursery runs (small pushchair storage room), but it was so good we sold the travel system and used it full time. It was so easy on buses, trains, planes (easily folded with one hand), it di...
Bought Metro for nursery runs; 'so good we sold the travel system and used it full time'. Easy on buses, trains, planes. Light enough to lift with daughter inside — handy for stairs.
Being able to take it on a plane as hand luggage is really useful, both for the long walk to the baggage carousel and because it's much less likely to get damaged. It's also good as they're so light. We had an Ergobaby Metro which was around 6kg so it was possible to lift it with a toddler inside it, which made dealing with stairs much easier. Once we bought it we sold our travel system and used it full time, because it was also much more convenient for catching buses and meant more boot space...
Metro was ~6kg; 'possible to lift it with a toddler inside' for stairs. Sold travel system, used Metro full time. More convenient for buses, more boot space in Fiesta.
I was so impressed with the Ergobaby Metro+ both in terms of price and functionality (got it on special offer for €200). I'd say you'd have to check the Vista bag if you had it whereas if you have a single piece you can bring it through security and have it up until the gate
Impressed with Metro+ 'both in terms of price and functionality'. Got on special for €200. Highlights advantage of bringing through security to gate.
Ergobaby Metro+ is worth considering. We had the previous model (the Metro) and it was great. Super comfortable to push, easy to fold, lightweight, decent on most surfaces except gravel... not cheap, but not quite Yo-yo expensive either. We bought it for Nursery drop off (small space to leave prams) but it quickly became our full time stroller & we sold the travel system.
Ergobaby Metro+ 'worth considering'. Previous model was 'great — super comfortable to push, easy to fold, lightweight, decent on most surfaces except gravel'. Became full-time stroller.
Ergo baby metro folds small enough to be airplane hand luggage or in footwell in front of carseat
Ergobaby Metro 'folds small enough to be airplane hand luggage or in footwell in front of carseat' — specific space-saving detail.
Came here to say the same - it lives in my car now and I never bother bringing the vista anywhere if I'm not walking from home
Metro+ 'lives in my car now'; never bothers bringing Vista anywhere unless walking from home. De facto daily driver.
Fine on grass! I was expecting it to be very much pavement only but it was no problem in parks. I didn't drive at the time, so it got heavy usage!
Metro is 'fine on grass' despite expecting pavement-only. No problem in parks. Got heavy daily usage as non-driver.
My daughter's Dad is 6'3" and the Ergobaby Metro worked for us both.
Daughter's dad is 6'3" and 'Ergobaby Metro worked for us both' — good handle height range.
I love the Vista to be honest but I walk loads and the basket is excellent for going food shopping. That said, I live somewhere with wide footpaths. I've brought the Vista other towns (e.g. Kinsale) and curse how wide it is on those narrow footpaths. With regards to our Metro+ stroller I always felt that the fact that you had to take off the seat to clip in the car seat was ridiculous but their new one doesn't require you to do that, it clips in over the seat. Would I buy the travel system again...
Loves Vista for walking but Metro+ for convenience. Criticism: 'taking off the seat to clip in the car seat was ridiculous' — though newer model fixed this.
