We have the Halo and love it, it's the softest!
Has Halo, loves it, calls it softest: 'We have the Halo and love it, it's the softest!'
We like the Halo brand sleep sacks. They zip top to bottom, so the zipper pull is at the bottom (my baby likes to suck on it!) so we switched from regular zipper to these so she can't get the zipper!
Likes top-to-bottom zip design, baby-proof zipper placement: 'They zip top to bottom, so the zipper pull is at the bottom... so she can't get the zipper!'
Category 1 is the Halo swaddle, the L2D swaddle and the Kyte swaddler. These are "swaddles" which are optional, and useful from birth until baby starts trying to roll over (some people are very strict about stopping use by 8 weeks because rolling over while swaddled is dangerous but others wait until baby is really trying to roll when awake). I'm a NICU nurse and prefer the Halo for my own kids just because it's what I use in the hospital, and it's cheap enough to have 3-4 in rotation for laundr...

Halos are usually pretty easy to pick up second hand if you want to try those off registry. They've always been my favorite 🤷♀️
Long-time favorite, easy to find secondhand: 'Halos are usually pretty easy to pick up second hand... They've always been my favorite'

Another recommendation for Halo! However I also really love the Zipadee Zip for the 3-12ish month age range.
Recommends Halo: 'Another recommendation for Halo!'
It depends how big your LO is. Halo makes a grey sleep sack with sleeves. We've used it with both our daughters. I think we got it on Amazon, tbh.
Used with both daughters, sleeves version: 'Halo makes a grey sleep sack with sleeves. We've used it with both our daughters'
I got halo sleep sack and my baby was born last August so it was very hot. The halo ones regulate temp. We had a couple of very hot nights that I left my boy with just a sleepsuit/ bodysuit. Its was too hot and I didn't wanted to risk it with covering him with anything.

I recommend wool sleep sacks (I have one from Woolino and one from Superlove Merino) - I've been using them since my son was a newborn and now he's 7 months with plenty of room to grow into. I love not having to worry about TOGs and it getting too small anytime soon. I also used the Halo sleep sack as a more lightweight option and it was great. I also bought a Burt's Bees Beekeeper sleep bag; I haven't tried it yet but it looks nice.
Used as lightweight option alongside wool sacks, was great: 'I also used the Halo sleep sack as a more lightweight option and it was great'

I got my LO one of the Halo swaddle sleeping bags, I think the one we got was 1.5 tog and it's a nice jersey material, the Velcro is annoying but I think with the Halo one you can zip up from the bottom so in theory you don't have to un-Velcro them to do a nappy change. We actually only had it for a couple of weeks before he started trying to roll but I think you can find a lot of them, and the love to dream ones on Vinted. Also the halo bag I think is transitional so you can do one arm out or j
Mixed — jersey material is nice and transitional design, but Velcro is annoying: 'the Velcro is annoying but I think with the Halo one you can zip up from the bottom'
We liked Kyte but refuse to buy anymore after what they did to their employee earlier this year. I'd personally be ok purchasing second hand Kyte though. Halo and Burt's bees also make really nice ones, we used the halo with the swaddle part just on his belly, our guy hated having his arms in it.

We have used Halo, Burt's Bees and woolino over the past 2.5 years. Halo has some really cute prints but I did find they wore out rather quick. Burt's bees has been great because they have an XL size that my kiddo will be in until she is ready to transition out of the crib. The woolino one, I wish we bought sooner. We typically only used it in the winter but it can be worn year round. This is honestly probably your best investment as the one we have is recommended from 2 to 24 months. My kid ...

I love the Kyte sleepsacks, my daughter wore the size M one for a really long time. When she was younger I needed multiple sleep sacks because she tended to have more spit ups, diaper leaks, etc - (and I couldn't afford multiple Kyte ones), so I did Halo instead. They are okay, definitely not as soft and cozy as Kyte but they did the job! Grobag is okay too, they are cozy, just a bit stiffer than the Kyte bamboo.
Used as budget alternative to Kyte, 'okay' but not as soft: 'They are okay, definitely not as soft and cozy as Kyte but they did the job!'

Ha, we had the opposite issue. So DO NOT buy Halo sleep sack as they are rather small (perfect for our tiny baby)
Warns they run small — 'DO NOT buy Halo sleep sack as they are rather small (perfect for our tiny baby)'
