Tutti Bambini cotbed. We got one in 2020 for my oldest, she was in it from 5m until just under 3y (we took the side off when she was about 1y 10m, and she continued using it until we moved her to another room). My current baby is now using it (7m) and its still going strong.
"got one in 2020 for my oldest, she was in it from 5m until just under 3y (took the side off at about 1y 10m). My current baby is now using it (7m) and its still going strong." Exceptional longevity across two children with detailed timeline.
Im only about an inch taller than you and we have the Tutti Bambini Rio cot bed. I actually got mine on Facebook marketplace for £40 and just bought a new mattress!!
Commenter is similar height to OP (5'5") and confirms the Rio works well at their height. Got it on Facebook marketplace for £40 and bought a new mattress.
I've got this one https://direct.asda.com/george/home/kids-nursery-furniture/tutti-bambini-rio-cot-bed-bundle-white-dove-grey/050883601,default,pd.html My friend also has a Tutti Bambini one that cost almost double that one and while it does look more swish, mine is great quality.
Links the specific Tutti Bambini Rio product. "mine is great quality" — also notes a friend has a more expensive TB model but the Rio is comparable.
We got a Tutti Bambini Rio, really quite happy with it, and it will turn into a bed (although with #2 on the way, we might get #1 a bed, and keep it as a cot.) Seems good quality and we got a good price, but alot are a much of a muchness.

We've got the Tutti Bambini Rio cot for when our LO is out of her Next2Me. It also converts into a toddler bed.

We like our tutti bambini one, it isn't fancy but he's a humongous lad and it seems sturdy enough! Argos do them, as other people have said they are much of a muchness
"We like our tutti bambini one, it isn't fancy but he's a humongous lad and it seems sturdy enough!" Direct ownership, sturdiness confirmed with a large child. Purchased from Argos.
I've got a Tutti Bambini one and like it. We've lowered it with no issues but haven't converted it yet

Whichever cot you buy, make sure it fits a standard cot mattress. I was looking at a mamas & papas cot but it did not fit standard mattress, so if the mattress needs replacing, we cannot get a budget alternative. We have to also fork out for a their specific mattress protector and cot sheet. I have a tutti bambini one that converts into toddler bed. My baby has been sleeping on it for 3 months (6 mo now). He never sleeps in a fixed place and roams the whole cot while sleeping so unlikely it wi
"I have a tutti bambini one that converts into toddler bed. My baby has been sleeping on it for 3 months (6 mo now)." Direct ownership, confirms standard mattress fit, converts to toddler bed, baby actively using it.
I got a tutti bambini cot from Argos (I went cheap because she's usually in our bed anyway) and it came with a mattress but it felt very soft so I bought a mamas and papas pocket spring mattress instead which was more firm and felt better quality wise. The tutti bambini one is mainly used as a foam mat/crash pad now 😂😂
"I got a tutti bambini cot from Argos... came with a mattress but it felt very soft so I bought a mamas and papas pocket spring mattress instead." The cot itself is fine but the included mattress was disappointing and replaced. Mixed — cot adequate, bundled mattress poor quality.
We bought the IKEA JÄTTETRÖTT. It was fairly cheap and highly recommended by WHICH. We ended up getting the Obaby Maya cot set, as the cot itself is actual wood instead of MDF which was a deal-breaker for us. It's beautiful, solid and can be converted to a toddler bed with sides and then without so it should last a good while, I hope. We initially bought one from Tutti Bambini that was MDF and collapsed on my mum's foot, nearly breaking it and destroying the cot.
"We initially bought one from Tutti Bambini that was MDF and collapsed on my mum's foot, nearly breaking it and destroying the cot." Strongly negative — product was MDF, collapsed during assembly/use, caused near-injury. Safety concern.
