If it's a gift depending on budget a superlove merino one or a gift card to superlove might be good. Their sleeping bags are merino wool and the all season one is good during winter and summer, you just adjust the layers underneath. One sleeping bag will last from around 2-3months until they're 2 years old.
Recommends as gift, praises merino wool all-season versatility and sizing (2-3mo to 2yr): 'Their sleeping bags are merino wool and the all season one is good during winter and summer'

I recommend wool sleep sacks (I have one from Woolino and one from Superlove Merino) - I've been using them since my son was a newborn and now he's 7 months with plenty of room to grow into. I love not having to worry about TOGs and it getting too small anytime soon. I also used the Halo sleep sack as a more lightweight option and it was great. I also bought a Burt's Bees Beekeeper sleep bag; I haven't tried it yet but it looks nice.

I have a superlove merino and love to dream 2.5 tog with sleeves. None of them are particularly cheap, unfortunately, but they are very long (especially the merino), so should last for quite some time.

They're quite expensive, but the Superlove Merino sleeping bags might help you on both counts! They're one size up to two years, with poppers to tighten the armhole when they're smaller. I dress my LO lightly under as he also runs a bit warm, but his room gets cooler overnight so I then don't wor

It might just be worth investing in something like merinokids or super love merino (pricey but keep an eye out second hand) They are for much larger sizes but also cover a wider range of togs. I reckon it works out cheaper in the long run, and one of the brands does ones with legs. Which really helped reduce bedtime battle.
