We got a cheap bouncer off Amazon and my baby was never really keen on it, however we went to stay with my in laws last month and they'd got a baby bjorn bouncer second hand from their neighbor for us to use while we were there and my baby LOVES it! Absolute game changer, we took it home with us haha. He's nearly 6 months, I so wish we'd got one from the start.
"my baby LOVES it! Absolute game changer" β direct comparison to cheap Amazon bouncer (baby wasn't keen). Baby nearly 6 months, wishes they'd had it from the start.
I got the three I have off vinted for Β£30-Β£40 each - I have thee for my home, MIL and my mum's home. It's absolutely worth it, it's like a nanny for me. We started using it at around 9 days old, it helps so much when he won't sleep, when he has a reflux, when he has trapped wind, when he is constipated, was INVALUABLE when he was going through the witching hour as it distracted him from crying. I'm currently bouncing im with my foot while bumming around on reddit to have some me time - he is al
"like a nanny for me", "INVALUABLE" β bought 3 for different homes (Β£30-40 each on Vinted), started at 9 days old, helps with sleep/reflux/trapped wind/constipation/witching hour.
We were handed down a Baby Bjorn bouncer from my brother and it's honesty a hundred times better than any other bouncer we've used. It's done 9 kids so far and in a few months it'll be passed on again with plenty life left. All 3 of ours have loved it.
"a hundred times better than any other bouncer we've used" β superlative comparison, exceptional durability (9 kids), all 3 of their own children loved it.

It's the one product I've used I recommend to everyone. It was so useful to have a place for my son to hang out that wasn't on the floor (as he sometimes got upset if he couldn't see us). It was also brilliant at rocking my son to sleep (where I'd then transfer him as it's not rated for sleep) and getting him to poop. It came everywhere with us for the first 8 months or so till he outgrew the side that keeps them in it, it flattens down and you can get a travel case so it's easy to take with you
"the one product I've used I recommend to everyone" β used 8 months, multiple functions (rocking to sleep, helping poop, elevated view), travel-friendly with case.

Baby bjorn bouncer has been my most used baby item, still going strong using it at 6 months. I absolutely love that thing
"most used baby item", "absolutely love that thing" β still going strong at 6 months. Enthusiastic with longevity noted.
Baby bjorn. We have the baby delight at my mom's and my now 2 year old still prefers the baby bjorn. She likes to sit in it to drink her milk. She's used it almost daily since she was 4 months old and hasn't hit the size limit yet. Hoping she'll give it up for her baby brother once he's born.
2-year-old still uses daily (since 4 months), prefers it over Baby Delight alternative. Exceptional longevity of use β hasn't hit size limit yet.
We went through 3 before we said fuck it and got the Baby Bjorn one. Wish we'd started with it. Nothing to it. Folds down into nothing so is Uber transportable and is so finely balanced any movement causes a gentle bounce. Also super easy to take the cover off and clean in the washing machine. It's expensive. But worth it. And we sold it an an NCT sale for about 70% of what we paid as was effectively as new. It's between that and the next-2-me cotbed thing as the two best things we purchased.
"Wish we'd started with it" after trying 3 others. Specific praise: folds flat, finely balanced bounce, machine washable, resold for 70% value. One of their "two best things purchased."
Baby bjorn is soooo worth the money as we used it so much around 1month+. Mqybe look on facebook if you can find a used one? The covers are washable.
"soooo worth the money", "used it so much around 1month+" β enthusiastic endorsement with duration of use and washable covers noted.
I got a BabyBjorn second hand on FB marketplace and it's been our MVP baby item. Both our kids absolutely loved it, it folds flat as well so we took it basically everywhere with us. Could not recommend more.
"our MVP baby item" β both kids loved it, folds flat for portability, took everywhere. Enthusiastic with no caveats.
We absolutely loved ours, it was the only place our refluxy baby would settle so we could get anything done. Now at 8 months she's figured out how to unclip it and free herself so it's in storage for a (hopefully) second baby. The cover washes lovely aswell, we've had plenty of poonamis and baby sick on it and you can't even tell now. Would definitely recommend
"absolutely loved ours" β only place reflux baby would settle, used 8 months, cover washes well despite poonamis and sick. Storing for second baby.
It was the one thing we weren't planning to buy but the lady in John Lewis did her salesperson thing on us! Zero regrets, it's meant me and my husband have been able to eat dinner together every night and our baby is 3 months old now, we pop her in the bouncer, bounce her with a foot and she is happy. It's the only place she's always content! And is finally big enough to be bouncing herself.
"Zero regrets" β enables eating dinner together every night, baby (3mo) always content in it, now self-bouncing. Unplanned purchase they're thrilled with.
Insane amount of money to pay I agree but am I glad I bought it? 100% yes. Before he struggled with straining and constipation. Now every morning he sits in it and it instantly helps him poop, he's so happy afterwards!
"100% yes" β solved baby's straining and constipation, helps poop every morning. Acknowledges high price but firmly endorses value.
Honestly baby bjorn has been great and worth the money. Have gas? Chair. Need to poop? Chair. Need to pop them somewhere? So easy to put them in. You can also get a play bar to click on when they're older too. You can get some good ones on Facebook
"great and worth the money" with multiple specific use cases: gas relief, helping baby poop, easy to place baby in, play bar accessory for older babies.
For my precious first born, I got her the Nuna Leaf. Now I love Nuna as a brand. But I hated that stupid chair. Far too big and heavy to move around the house. Not worth it. For my second I bought a Bjorn second hand off eBay. Best baby purchase I made (other than a better sling). Easy to clean, fold, move around, put baby in and out. So good.
"Best baby purchase I made" β comparison to Nuna Leaf (too big/heavy) makes the Bjorn's portability and ease of cleaning/folding stand out. Enthusiastic with no caveats about the Bjorn.
If there's one thing you splurge on β let it be this. Both my babies have loved it. The cheaper ones have a much lower weight limit, My 2.5 year old still sits in the bjorn.
"If there's one thing you splurge on β let it be this" β both babies loved it, superior weight limit vs cheaper alternatives, 2.5yo still using it.
Yes they're the bomb. I inherited my brother's one that he'd used with three kids and it's still in perfect condition. My baby pretty much lived in it (within the allowed time limits). It helped him poo and kept him happy watching me while I did chores. At six months he's not in so much anymore, but when he does go in it he still loves it
"they're the bomb" β exceptional durability (3 kids, still perfect condition), helps with pooping, baby happy watching parent do chores. Used heavily until 6 months.
We love our Baby bjorn bouncer. It was gifted to us, but I have seen them on facebook marketplace for less than half the retail price. They can only be used until baby can sit upright on their own and the fabric part is washable so "used" is still pretty good condition. It's super light and easy to move from room to room. Our baby immediately calms down when we bounce her in itβ¦it's the only way my husband and I can eat dinner together.
"We love our Baby bjorn" β baby immediately calms, only way to eat dinner together, super light, easily portable, washable fabric.
I have a second hand babybjorn and I use it constantly. I waited til my LO was about 8 weeks to get one and I regret not getting it sooner, it's made our lives so much easier!
"use it constantly", "made our lives so much easier" β regrets not getting sooner (started at 8 weeks). Strong daily-use endorsement.
The best thing I bought for my baby. He loved the toy too that came with it and he spend a couple of months in it. If I would have another baby I would put him in the bouncer a lot sooner.
"The best thing I bought for my baby" β baby loved the toy accessory, used for couple of months, regrets not starting sooner.
One of the best things we've owned for our babies and would always recommend. It's now done 5 children and has life left in it still. It belonged to our friend with 2 children who gave it to us, we used it for our first, lent it to someone else and took it back for our second. We'll pass it on again - it's brilliant.
"One of the best things we've owned" β exceptional durability: 5 children across multiple families with life left in it. Passed around and still going.
2nd hand baby bjorn. It is worth every penny, I'm going to get a 2nd one for baby 2 as we have a 3 floor house + granny's house. Ours, like many other babies, became the 'poop chair' - first thing in the morning she'd go using it. It's actually a thing lol and it's what's encouraged that morning routine for us. ETA was the best use in the bathroom and kitchen so I could get things done.
"worth every penny" β buying second for 3-floor house + granny's, established morning poop routine, best in bathroom/kitchen for getting things done.

Baby Bjorn off vinted. Our baby tried a different bouncer when at MIL but it honestly wasn't as good. Baby is 8w and we literally travel with the bouncer everywhere
"honestly wasn't as good" vs competitor β baby 8 weeks old, travel with it everywhere. Direct comparison favoring BabyBjorn.
I am seriously considering getting a second so I don't have to move ours up and downstairs I know some people don't rate them but I would say 3/4 of the people I know with babies love them
Considering buying a second to avoid carrying between floors β demonstrates heavy daily use. Acknowledges not universal but 75% of parents they know love it.
Hello! I'm not super familiar with others in the market. But I've found the Bjorn baby so helpful. My LO is 9 weeks, 4 adjusted. I personally find it v helpful when I need to shower or go to the toilet lol. My LO naps on me so there isn't much opportunity for me to leave him to do tasks. I think as he gets older, he will enjoy bouncing in it more and looking at the world from it. It's really lightweight so I can easily carry it around and travel with it if I drive.
"so helpful" at 9 weeks (4 adjusted) β lightweight, portable for driving, enables shower/toilet time for contact-napping parent.
I can't remember exactly when we started using ours, maybe around 2 months, but up until ours has been sitting up on their own it's been so helpful. Great to move it around the house for them to watch you do a chore or something sitting upright rather than just lying on their back. I would get a toy bar too. Also, we have strategically used ours before car journeys as usually if their due a poo it helps bring it on - saves that happening in the car!
"so helpful" from ~2 months until sitting independently. Strategic pre-car-journey poop use, upright position for watching chores, recommends toy bar accessory.
Love mine, used it from birth as baby was 10lbs when she came out. Baby number 2 will get the use of it and it's so compact I kept it downstairs since we stopped using it for friends with babies. Will probs hold onto it for a few more years.
"Love mine" β used from birth (large 10lb baby), compact, lending to friends, keeping for baby #2. Enthusiastic ownership.
I know everyone says it but the babybjorn really was worth it for us, we called it his fart chair for a while when he had the fake trapped wind thing babies get. You can turn them round and they can be a seat for a child too I think although he still fits in it at 8 months so we haven't had to. He still goes in it in the bathroom if we want to shower when the other parent is out. I spent a long time waiting for them to come up locally and got two secondhand ones, one for my mums house. Our
"really was worth it" β nicknamed "fart chair" for trapped wind relief, still using at 8 months, converts to seat, bought two for different houses, used during showers.

Baby Bjorn off of Vinted! It really does make babies poop/fart which is a lifesaver when they are fussing in the evenings. I had another bouncer prior to this one and my baby just didn't like it as much and we had a hard time getting her to sit in it.
"lifesaver" for evening fussiness β helps with pooping/farting, baby preferred it over previous bouncer (direct comparison).
We have a baby bjorn and I love it. We were given it but I would buy one now we've used it! I love that it's soft material with a lot of give so baby is supported and not in something really solid. We've attached a toy bar to it and she loves it! It sits at 3 different heights so we put her in it when she was tiny too.
"I love it. We were given it but I would buy one" β soft supportive material, 3 height settings usable from tiny, toy bar attachment enjoyed.
We got a Babybjorn bouncer on Vinted for Β£60 and I highly recommend it! It's lightweight, has different recline levels and it folds down so easily transported as well.
"highly recommend it" β Β£60 on Vinted, lightweight, multiple recline levels, folds for transport.
If it's the same as a bouncer I really liked the baby Bjorn one, my daughter and then my nephew spent absolutely hours sitting in ours. It seems expensive but it is very well designed, adjusts to different inclines and folds flat. Quite popular so probably easy to find secondhand too.
"really liked", "very well designed" β daughter and nephew both spent hours in it, adjustable inclines, folds flat. Multiple children across extended family.
Baby bjorn has singlehandedly made pooping so much easier for my baby lol
"singlehandedly made pooping so much easier" β high-score comment (41 upvotes) endorsing the poop-helping benefit.
I've only used one but we love it, the classic baby Bjorn. She can be there for a solid 20 mins sometimes 30 mins now. She started liking it at around 12 weeks now it's her favorite place especially since we added those wraparound toys. It's easy to wash you just take it off and if you want you can buy a back up fabric for blow outs or other messes
"we love it", "her favorite place" β baby content for 20-30 mins, started liking at 12 weeks, wraparound toys help, removable/washable fabric with backup option.
Baby bjorn!!! Only one with the perfect bounce. Enabled me to actually get stuff done around the house!
"Only one with the perfect bounce" β implies trying others, enabled getting things done. Enthusiastic endorsement.

We have/had it. Baby is 1+ now so not using it these days. But it was brilliant for us. We bought second hand on marketplace for Β£40? I washed the fabric and popped it back on good as new. Baby LOVED bouncing in it. It was a good place to put her when she couldn't be on the floor. We didn't start using it til ~10 weeks I think? They're just too tiny in the beginning. But for a second hand investment it was great.
"brilliant for us", "Baby LOVED bouncing" β bought 2nd hand for Β£40, fabric washes well. Notes babies are too tiny before ~10 weeks (minor caveat about timing).

100% IKEA. I got a second hand one for Β£5 on FB Marketplace. We used a Baby Bjorn bouncer to keep her safe as a newborn while cooking, cleaning, eating etc. That's an insane amount of money for a highchair
Used BabyBjorn bouncer as newborn for cooking/cleaning/eating β positive practical endorsement in context of discussing newborn containment.

It's Β£50 over your budget but the Baby Bjorn Bouncer was a lifesaver for us. Our baby had awful reflux and had to be kept upright after every feed and the bouncer was nice for being hands free. We even took the bouncer to a wedding that we were invited to lol. To be honest though she threw up (posseted?) whether we held her upright or put her in a bouncer anyway. I think there's some good cheaper dupes of the BBC bouncer.
"lifesaver for us" for reflux baby, portable enough for a wedding. Caveat: baby still posseted regardless, and acknowledges cheaper dupes exist.
We have a baby bjorn (second hand) which is great and super portable. Also a nuna leaf that they can use for years.
"great and super portable" β positive with portability as key feature. Brief but clear endorsement from owner.

Having a safe place to pop baby down is invaluable! I, like you, didn't ever let my baby sleep in one, but I did use it to put her to sleep on occasion and then transfer her to her Moses basket. I had the baby bjorn bouncer. Just be mindful that babies shouldn't be 'in containers' for long stretches of time - best place for baby is a play mat on the floor where they can kick their little legs and learn their motor skills!
"invaluable" safe place β used to put baby to sleep then transfer. Positive but adds responsible caveat about limiting container time.

I have the babybjorn. I put her in it today but she was hungry so she cried. We put her in it again and she really liked it and the toy bar we bought. My baby is quite small though so I think I'm trying her in it a bit soon. I like how it bounces when she moves and also once they are older you can use it as a seat.
Baby liked it with toy bar, bounces reactively to movement, converts to seat for older children. Minor caveat: baby was quite small so slightly too early to start.
We stopped use of the Bjorn bouncer around six months because she was too big for it and she wasn't doing enough floor time with it around. It's a great bouncer though.
"great bouncer" but stopped at 6 months: baby outgrew it and they prioritized floor time. Positive overall with size/usage duration caveat.
I've used it since baby was 2 months. He's now 7 months. He can bounce himself in it which is great when he's a bit fussy and needs some chill time. It's also great for when you're cooking or need to shower. He enjoys the toy bar too. It's a ridiculously pricey product for what it is but it's also an annoyingly well-designed product. I'm sure you can get an alternative and baby will be none the wiser.
"annoyingly well-designed" but "ridiculously pricey" β used 2-7 months, baby self-bounces when fussy, great for cooking/shower, acknowledges alternatives may work fine.

I got a used baby bjorn on Facebook marketplace, I like that it's fully washable
Positive on washability β brief but specific feature endorsement from an owner.
The baby Bjorn bouncer is pretty reasonable from eBay..I got one for Β£40 I think
"pretty reasonable from eBay" at Β£40 β positive on value when bought second hand.

My wee one is 6mo and tries to sit up in the babybjorn but he does like it. It can also be used as a seat once they're big enough to go into themselves. My daughter used it until she was 2 years old. My wee boy prefers the fisher price sit me up seat I have for him at the moment.
Baby likes it at 6mo but tries to sit up; daughter used it until 2 years old as a seat. Positive but notes baby currently prefers another product.
I got a secondhand babybjorn bouncer on Facebook for less than half the price so worth looking at second hand. You can only really use them the first six months (there's a weight limit, I think it's 8kg). I mainly used it when I had a shower or if I was making dinner and my LO wanted to be more upright. Although my LO also had quite bad reflux pre tongue tie revision so it was quite useful post feed if she was uncomfortable. In short worth having⦠but not sure if it's worth buying new.
"worth havingβ¦ but not sure if it's worth buying new" β useful for shower/dinner, helpful for reflux post-feed. Caveats: 6 months use only, ~8kg weight limit, not worth full price.

I got a Baby Bjorn for a really good deal secondhand. Tbh, I don't think it's particularly amazing, but it's durable and sturdy. I would not have paid full price for one. Some babies love bouncing in the bouncer, but mine just likes it as a chair. It's also excellent for pooping. She'll be 7 months in 4 days and is close to growing out of it (weight limit is 20 pounds *or* stop using if baby is trying to sit up on their own before then). We've gotten really good use out of it. So if you feel con
"not particularly amazing" but "durable and sturdy", "excellent for pooping" β wouldn't pay full price, baby uses as chair not bouncer, 7 months and growing out. Good use overall but tempered expectations.

I got a BabyBjorn bouncer used from fb marketplace because it was so highly recommended and it was fine. I don't think I'd have felt any differently if I'd got a cheaper one new. I think having a bouncer is quite handy to have, but I didn't think the BabyBjorn was all that special. That said, I haven't tried any others so maybe the others are all doing something wrong that I don't know about, but I feel like there's more hype than additional benefit in this case.
"it was fine" but "didn't think the BabyBjorn was all that special" β acknowledges utility of having a bouncer but feels the brand premium isn't justified. More hype than benefit.

We bought a second hand baby bjorn. Baby has never loved it, but it comes in handy every now and again to put her somewhere for 10 minutes, or as a break from lying down if she was bored of the view before she could sit herself. I would say a nice to have, but not essential, and I'm certainly glad I paid Β£20 rather than well over Β£100 for it
"Baby has never loved it" and "nice to have, but not essential" β mixed. Useful for short periods but baby doesn't enjoy it. Glad they only paid Β£20.

The baby bjorn is definitely not suitable up to 2 years!! My daughter is almost 2 and hasn't been able to fit in it for over a year. Similarly my friend has a 9 month old who can't use it because the whole thing almost touches the floor when she sits in it. Unless you have a smaller than average baby, I wouldn't bother spending the money.
"definitely not suitable up to 2 years", "wouldn't bother spending the money" β daughter outgrew by ~1 year, friend's 9mo too heavy (touches floor). Disputes longevity claims.

The only thing that helped my daughter settle was the swing we bought second hand. She cried in the babybjorn bouncer but the swing we bought was an absolute lifesaver. It was a joie serina I think. I would never buy one brand new because you can get them basically brand new from Facebook for half the price. Every baby is different though and you don't know until they're born what they will like. I'm holding off on buying one for my second, fingers crossed he likes the bouncer we have. If no
"She cried in the babybjorn bouncer" β daughter did not settle, preferred a swing instead. Negative experience with this specific product.
