Parent of three here. Have you looked at the uppababy vista? Wheels are chunky but come off, very sturdy, great customer service - we had a problem with the frame of ours years after the warranty had gone and they replaced it free no questions asked. I'm not sure if it stands on end , but we got it in the back of our van - with another pushchair - very easily once the wheels are off. Can't recommend enough

I also live in the centre of Glasgow! We have a car but use it maybe once a month to visit family so depending on your area you should be fine. A few folk have recommended John Lewis but we went to the Glasgow Pram Centre near the Barras. It's massive and you can try loads of prams out. If budget is tighter though then FB marketplace is definitely your friend. We have an uppababy vista which I love. It has a massive basket which I use for all our shopping (handy if you don't have a car) and
'I love' it, 'massive basket which I use for all our shopping (handy if you don't have a car)' — specific use case for car-free Glasgow living, no downsides mentioned
Uppababy Vista v3, all terrain. Prams are very personal in my experience, it's like buying a car. You know what your use and circumstances are, so need to look for a pram that fits your lifestyle best. I also highly recommend to go to a local store and ask to try them outside - makes a huge difference compared to driving around on a shop floor, like John Lewis. This will be long lol We got ours one specifically for the big luggage space and the ability to go off road (think forrests and mu
Owns Vista v3 all terrain, chose specifically 'for the big luggage space and the ability to go off road' — recommends trying prams outside shop floor, detailed lifestyle match
I have the uppababy vista v2 and know the cruz is a similar design - I can't recommend it enough. It might be a bigger pram but it's very comfortable and the basket is huge and amazing for going to the shops and park etc. My friend also has it and did her wee boy until he was 3
Owns Vista v2, 'can't recommend it enough', 'very comfortable and the basket is huge and amazing for going to the shops', friend used it until child was 3
We've got an Uppababy Vista and love it - big basket for shopping and fab in woodland. Might be on the big side but I can fit it in the boot of my fiesta!
'Love it - big basket for shopping and fab in woodland' — notes 'might be on the big side but I can fit it in the boot of my fiesta' — positive with practical boot-fit detail
We have the uppababy vista for our everyday pram. The basket is huge, very study, but is quite big (probably because you can convert to a double pram so it needs the strength). We have a joolz aer for our travel pram which is also fantastic.
'The basket is huge, very sturdy' but notes 'quite big' due to double conversion capability — owns it as everyday pram, positive with size acknowledgment
It really really depends on your lifestyle, where you live, what your budget is. I got an Uppababy Vista. I really liked it and it moves so smoothly. It's sturdy for more rural walks and folds well. It was pretty expensive though! But we use it a lot so I think we'll get our money's worth.
'I really liked it and it moves so smoothly. It's sturdy for more rural walks and folds well' but notes 'pretty expensive' — positive with price caveat
