I generally am one to de-influence baby products (we went pretty minimal), but our keekaroo is hands down one of the best things we bought. My huge 18 month old fits on it with plenty of room to spare. Why we love it -nonslip base -easy to wipe down -comfy for him -we knew we'd use it for two kids -we change every single diaper on it (I've never once changed him on the floor, couch, bed, etc) -it's cute (least important, but hey, so much baby stuff is ugly) We went cheap on a lot of things,
Self-described de-influencer calls it 'hands down one of the best things we bought'. Lists specific features: nonslip base, easy wipe, comfy, fits 18mo, planning for 2 kids
We have two Keekaros, one for each of our kids, and swear by them and tell all of our friends to get them. The ease of just wiping them off and not needing to do a wash is immense for us and something we consider 100% worthwhile.
Own two for multiple kids, actively recommend to friends — 'swear by them', wipe-clean convenience is '100% worthwhile'
Keekaroo! Baby loves it and it's soooo easy to clean. I can't imagine having more laundry to do or buying waterproof pads/ waste to throw out with a foam ones. You can find keekaroos on marketplace but honestly it's worth the money
Baby loves it, easy to clean, eliminates extra laundry and disposable pads. 'Worth the money' even at full price
I love our keekaroo peanut 🤷♀️ Have a high 90s percentile 2yo (wearing 3/4T) and he still fits no issue. It's easy to clean and it has sides so it's tougher to roll off. It also comes with a safety strap for those alligator roll changes. It's also rather plushy/cushioned so it seems like it would be comfortable for kiddo.
Large 2yo (90th+ percentile) still fits — praises sides preventing roll-off, safety strap, cushioned comfort, easy cleaning
We have the peanut changer and love it. We're on our third baby and still using the same one. It's lasted and is easy to clean which I love. I'm glad we don't have to deal with cleaning a fabric one.
Three babies on the same Keekaroo — exceptional durability. Easy to clean vs fabric alternatives
Another mom told me the keekaroo wasn't worth it so I didn't put it on my registry and someone got it for me anyways. I love it sooo much it's sooo easy to clean and baby likes being in it (weirdly lol)
Initially skeptical based on another mom's advice but ended up loving it — easy to clean and baby is comfortable on it
We have keekaroo and I absolutely love it. Wipe clean is 100% the way to go, the baby generates enough laundry without having to wash changing covers. I appreciate how soft and how big the keekaroo is. It'll definitely do baby right up into toddlerhood. It was definitely a splurge but if you can afford it in my opinion it's worth it.
Loves softness and size — will last into toddlerhood. Wipe-clean eliminates extra laundry. 'Definitely a splurge but worth it'
I bought the Keekaroo on sale and with a coupon, so it was not $140, but it is honestly one of the best splurges I've made. It is so easy to clean, and definitely cuts down on laundry.
Bought on sale — 'one of the best splurges I've made'. Easy to clean, reduces laundry
I got a Keekaroo peanut for about $70 from FB marketplace. (Side note: I lovvvve and highly recommend getting baby stuff secondhand. People only use baby things for a few months or years and then need to get rid of them!) My 27-month-old still fits (with her legs dangling off). I have the IKEA changing table and the Keekaroo fits perfectly on it, so I imagine it's a standard changing pad size. I knew I didn't want to have to change a changing pad cover every time some poop or pee got on there.
27-month-old still fits, bought secondhand for $70 demonstrating resale value. Praises no-cover-needed wipeable design
We have a bungalow home so spent most of our time on one level. We have a dresser and a keekaroo changing pad. My son is 2 years old and we've used it daily since he was born.
Daily use for 2 years — demonstrates long-term durability and consistent usefulness
We have a wipeable one (keekaroo peanut) and I just bought a second one off fb marketplace for $50 for second kiddo. I get bogged down with laundry and really only ended up doing laundry about once a week. For me it was nice to not have to worry about running out of covers or finding them in the dryer. I'm just not on top of laundry enough to not find that stressful. First baby is a toddler now and sometimes there is still some poop or pee that gets on the pad and it's an easy wipe up. I think i
Bought second one for second child — eliminates laundry stress for someone who only does weekly laundry. Toddler still using it, easy cleanup
This is a personal preference. We have a keekaroo and a changing table and love it. Only use it. We have a diaper caddy and a portable changing pad and we've literally never used it. Now we live in an apartment so walking to the changing table is about 10 seconds.
Exclusively uses keekaroo over portable alternatives — loves the dedicated station setup in apartment
We love the keekaroo. We use a fabric changing pad on top of it. I'm Aussie and it came in our baby bag (the govt gives to you when you have a baby), so I'm afraid I'm no help with brands! It's terry cloth material, and we use cloth nappies so we just have a few extras and throw the current one in with the nappies every other day when we wash. The keekaroo is still way better to have under it, bc in case of a huge blowout, you have your soft material pad that goes in the wash, and then you just
Uses with fabric pad on top — praises as protection layer for blowouts, easy to wipe underneath. 'We love the keekaroo'
I have the Keekaroo. I don't imagine it's much better than any of the similar change pads, if at all; but as an apartment dweller without my own laundry machines, something I can easily wipe clean is 10000% worth it! Also my breastfed baby poops like a thousand times a day and routinely has pee/liquid poo geysers while being changed. The Keekaroo has made these events easier to deal with for sure!
Doesn't think it's superior to similar pads, but wipeable surface is essential for apartment without laundry. Handles frequent messy changes well
I have a Keekaroo and definitely dithered about getting a cheaper one. In the end, I was unsure about the contouring on the cheaper ones. The keekaroo is sloped so all the pee goes to babies feet. Make sure whichever one you get does this! Otherwise you will have a pee covered baby. But 100% get a wipeable pad. So handy.
Praises specific design feature — slope directs pee to feet away from baby. Chose Keekaroo over cheaper options for better contouring
I have the keekaroo and I love it. Idk how the less expensive versions are, but they are probably fine. I couldn't imagine having a normal fabric pad though. My baby has peed and shit on this pad nearly everyday since day one and all I do is wipe it all up and then Clorox wipe it. I absolutely love it. I think at first my daughter thought it was too cold as a brand newborn, but she's totally fine with it now at 2 months old. To be honest as far as only a travel pad, I would not like it. She sh
Daily pee/poo easily wiped off — couldn't imagine fabric alternative. Notes initial cold feeling for newborn that resolved by 2 months
17 months later and we're still using the Keekaroo. It's also still in really great shape. He's definitely outgrown it a little bit, but I'd rather change him on his changing table than the floor.
17 months of daily use, still in great shape. Notes child slightly outgrown but prefers it to alternatives
I have the keekaroo peanut and I'd say the advantage of it would be that it's incredibly sturdy. This thing will last forever. I got mine off FB Marketplace (and also cleaned and sanitized it!) and who knows how many kids it's been through before us. It is still like new, and we'll surely sell it when we're done with it. If you are going to have lots of kids in diapers, maybe it makes sense for that reason - you probably wouldn't have to replace it. I don't find it easier to clean or use than
Praises incredible sturdiness and durability (bought secondhand, still like new), good resale value. But doesn't find it easier to clean than cheaper options
I love my keekaroo peanut! I would never buy it new though because it's wildly expensive, I kept my eye on Facebook marketplace and found a used one.
Loves it but considers full price too expensive — recommends buying secondhand on marketplace
I got a keekaroo at a thrift store for $2. I love it. I do have to keep changing liners under it bc if he spits up it gets alllllll over his hair because there's nothing to soak it up. Same with his pee area. Love that I can wipe it down easily though to clean it! I originally had the Jool changing pad and it was sooooo soft but we had to wash the liner a million times. He kept peeing and pooping all over it. Plus if he pees it soaks all the way through the foam
Loves the easy wipe-down but notes liquids (spit-up, pee) don't absorb and spread — needs liners underneath. Still prefers it over foam alternative (Jool)
I got a Keekaroo for free second hand from a friend and I like it. I've also changed my baby on a folded up yoga mat on the floor and that was fine too. The Keekaroo is nice if it falls in your lap but no way would I ever spend the money for it new.
Likes it but wouldn't pay full price — got it free secondhand. Finds it nice but considers alternatives equally fine
My keekaroo stained when my son pooped on it by accident. A yellow shit stain that won't come off
Specific problem: permanent yellow poop stain that won't come off, undermining the 'easy to clean' selling point
