I have the Medela Swing Maxi Flex and I love it. It's around £180 but if you're pumping daily it's worth it. For bottles we use Medela ones and they work perfectly with the pump.
'I love it', 'worth it' for daily pumping. Price of £180 noted but justified. Enthusiastic endorsement from daily user.
I have the medela swing maxi flex and I love it. But I also pump daily. If you're only going to pump occasionally I wouldn't bother with an expensive one.
'I love it' from daily pumper. Enthusiastic endorsement from regular use.
We use MAM bottles and love them! They're anti colic and my baby took to them straight away. For pump I use a Medela Swing which I got second hand for £40 and it's been great.
'Been great' at £40 second hand. Specific price and clear positive endorsement.
I've got the Medela Swing Maxi Double Electric Breast Pump. Used it while having to triple feed early on and now using it to express at work while baby's in nursery. Still working well and my baby is almost 1. It's not hands free but I use a nursing bra and can fit the electric part in my pocket as a work around making it almost hands free.
'Still working well' after nearly a year of use for triple feeding and work pumping. Demonstrates durability. Only minor note is it's not hands-free, but user found a workaround.
I got a Medela swing maxi flex second hand for £60. Worked great for me. I would wait and see what you need though. I got a cheap tommee tippee manual one to start with and that was fine.
'Worked great for me' - straightforward positive endorsement. Got it second hand for £60 showing good value. No complaints.
I looked at all the options and went for the Medela Swing Maxi after using their manual pump. I use it to pump for my partner to do night feeds on the weekend (so not full time use). I find it to be comfortable and convenient because I have the teat that screws onto the bottles so I just pump into the bottle and my partner can add the teat when he needs to. The teat is specifically for breast milk and so far it's the best one we've used for baby as it mimics the flow of breast milk (slow flow) b
'Comfortable and convenient', praises the bottle compatibility system, 'best one we've used for baby'. Detailed positive review with specific use case.
I have the Medela swing maxi double and it's been v good. I got it second hand and I'd recommend you do too because pumps can be v personal and cost a lot. So best to not spend £££ at the very beginning!
'V good' from direct use. Recommends buying second hand for value. Positive endorsement.
You will never find a breast pump with all really good reviews - us humans are all different so there will always be one pump that works much better for one person better than another, meaning there will always be mixed review ratings. Therefore, try and read the reviews and make your judgement based on the quality/reliability of the product rather than how well it works. My Mrs tried a few, but found that the Medela Swing Maxi worked best for her. This is a double pump (comes with t
'Worked best for her' after trying multiple pumps. Partner's direct experience, specific detail about it being a double pump. Positive after comparison shopping.
I pump exclusively and when my baby stopped latching at 2 weeks pp I went into John Lewis and bought the Medela maxi swing hands free. I've used it every day now for three months. It's not perfect but it does the job for me. I didn't buy one in advance because I didn't know if I needed one, I ended up using a hospital grade one in hospital which confirmed to me I wanted to pump. If you've any Qs let me know!
'Does the job for me' after daily use for 3 months, but 'not perfect'. Honest assessment from an EP user - positive but acknowledges limitations.
