My 11mo has been in the 12-18m sleep bags from Tesco since she was about 9.5mo. I tried loads of diff brands as she was growing and I really like them. Most have additional poppers at the side to bring them in further too. Between that and the straps over the shoulders I can't image your LO being able to slide down further in a bigger size? Our girls long but chunky too and we've had no issues with them

We've got a couple of tesco ones which are the longest out of ours! Plus they've got extra poppers around the arms so you can make them fit more snugly if needed.

Lots of the tesco sleep sacks have poppers under the arms so you can cinch them in, and they're generally a good length - maybe those would work well for you? I'm not an expert, but I would guess if you have her dressed in one layer less than the guides suggest and she still feels a normal temperature, the worst that will happen is that she'll feel a little uncomfortably warm, and not that she'll actually be in any medical danger. You could always try one layer less again though, if it makes yo

I have one from Tesco that's much longer than one from Sainsburys in 6-12 months size. It doesn't have 2-way zips though. Asda ones are long too.
