I bought several this time since my first child didn't like any but I also didn't buy newborn types the first time. I 100 percent recommend the ergo embrace! The absolute best and so wonderful to be able to wear my newborn this time around.
'100 percent recommend', 'absolute best', 'so wonderful'; learned from first child's experience and found the right product; enthusiastic
stretchy buckle carrier like Ergo Embrace or Boba Bliss -- the BEST for newborns (and I've used a lot of carriers with a lot of babies!)
'The BEST for newborns' from someone who has 'used a lot of carriers with a lot of babies'; superlative endorsement from experienced user
I loved the ergo embrace - so cozy and easy to use
'Loved', 'so cozy and easy to use' — specific praise for comfort and simplicity
Seconding the Ergobaby embrace. It's so easy to put on and take off and I don't have to think about it. I tried wraps and found it clumsy and I hated the extra fabric.
'So easy to put on and take off', 'don't have to think about it'; prefers over wraps which were clumsy; values simplicity
I loved the Ergo Embrace way more than the stretchy wrap, then the ring sling after I figured it out, around 2 months pp.
'Loved way more than the stretchy wrap' — direct comparison showing strong preference; 15 upvotes; used from 2 months pp
it's really amazing. I hate lugging out the stroller. Ergobaby is a great brand- we started with the embrace and moved onto the Omni classic. Go through posts on r/babywearing and learn how to wear properly! otherwise there's a good chance your baby will be uncomfortable or in an unsafe position. A LOT of people babywear incorrectly in public, but I've found that ergobaby carriers are relatively simple to use.
'Really amazing', started with Embrace then graduated to Omni; notes Ergobaby carriers are 'relatively simple to use'; positive progression within brand
Ergo baby embrace! Love it
'Love it' — concise but clear positive endorsement from owner
Ergo baby embrace for the early days
Concise recommendation with 7 upvotes showing community agreement; specifies 'early days' use case
Ergobaby Embrace for newborn days, then Tula Free to Grow if you can find one in budget! Or Oscha Bairn if that style appeals to you more. I know how overwhelming it is, I skipped adding carriers to my registry because I couldn't figure it out at all. It ended up being kind of a blessing in disguise though, because I got a couple of hand me downs to try which helped narrow down what's most comfortable for me, and then I was able to get some amazing deals on used (but practically new) carriers. I
Recommends Embrace for newborn days from personal trial-and-error experience; practical recommendation within budget-conscious context
Ergobaby Embrace for the newborn stage and some version of the Omni for beyond.
Recommends Embrace specifically for newborn stage as part of a two-carrier progression; practical endorsement
Ergo Embrace is very popular for newborns! Though I would still encourage you to give stretchy wraps a try! They definitely have a learning curve but once you are able to use them, you might find you really like them!
'Very popular for newborns' — endorses it while also encouraging wraps; balanced positive recommendation
I like the ergo baby embrace for the new born phase (I didn't use until 6 weeks though cause I was scared he was too young for it) and later we used the ergo baby 360. I've never tried wraps but I might this time around. Just seemed like a lot of learning, time consuming / tightening. Structured carriers are my go to so I can use them outside the house too
Used for newborn phase from 6 weeks; prefers structured carriers for practicality outside the house; positive but measured
Wraps are the most ergonomic and customizable way to carry newborns (can be done from day 1 even with tiny babes). What is it you don't trust about them? A lot of buckle carriers won't fit tiny babies and are actual suffocation risks if too big. Lennylamb Light, Didymos, Tula FTG are some that adjust down rather small and fit from around a few weeks old. The Ergobaby Embrace is a buckle carrier for newborns but will stop to fit after a few months.
Factual mention: 'buckle carrier for newborns but will stop to fit after a few months' — informational rather than enthusiastic; notes limitation of short lifespan
