We use the Graco 4Ever DLX. It's good til they're like 10 with a booster and all. I was in a car accident with my son in that exact seat when he was 11 months old. Our car was totaled, air bags deployed, etc. he was 100% safe and protected by the car seat. So we got two more (a replacement and one for our other car). I cannot rave about that car seat more. Rear facing car seats are literally a life saver and I'm thankful for how far our child safety has come. Edit to add: it was very straightf
Child survived totaled-car accident at 11 months; bought two more afterward; 'cannot rave more'; praises straightforward install and longevity to age 10.
This car seat saved my son's life at 2 years old. My husband and son were in a bad car accident and they both walked out unharmed.
Credits the seat with saving child's life in a serious accident; both occupants walked away unharmed.
We've had this seat almost 6 years now and just transitioned it to the high back booster for our oldest. Currently own 4 of them for two kids and two very different cars. Zero complaints.
Six years of use; owns 4 units for 2 kids in 2 cars; 'zero complaints' after extensive real-world testing across multiple configurations.
We have it and love it. Would definitely recommend.
Owns and loves it with definite recommendation; extremely high score (90) showing strong community agreement.
Served our 3 kids well. News articles of accidents with these seats and children surviving is what sold us
Used across 3 children successfully; chose based on news reports of crash survival - strong safety endorsement.
I personally love our Graco 4ever DLX 🤷🏻♀️
Direct owner who loves it; high community score (21) in a thread comparing rotating vs non-rotating options.
We got the Graco 4ever 4in1 convertible car seat. It lasts 10 years and turns into a booster seat when needed. We used the Uppababy mesa too and my 8 month old looks a lot more comfortable in the Graco now. It doesn't rotate, while they are convenient, I personally didn't want one.
10-year lifespan, converts to booster; child looks more comfortable than in Uppababy Mesa; made conscious choice against rotating.
We have 2 of these and I really like them. I prefer these because of how easy they are to clean compared to the first seats we had. The cover comes off really easily and can go in the washer (on delicate), and the seat itself is easy to wipe down and vacuum out.
Owns two; specifically praises washability - removable cover, easy to wipe down and vacuum - as advantage over previous seats.
We have the Graco 4Ever® DLX 4-in-1 Car Seat. We love it. But I'm sure if I went down the rabbit hole, I would have felt overwhelmed with all the choices too. I think this one might have been recommended and then we used a 20% coupon through the website. I can't remember if it's Chicco or Graco, but there's at least one out there that has this slide out leg rest thing that's supposed to help them stretch out more/stay backwards for longer. You could check that one out. Also, consider seeing
Owns and loves it; used a coupon making it budget-friendly; recommends looking into additional features.
Have it and it's awesome. Bought it before the baby was born, didn't want to worry about having to keep changing seats.
Owns and calls it awesome; appreciates all-in-one approach eliminating need to buy multiple seats.
We have 6 of them. It won't feel as plush as the Nuna but you're heading straight into slime and pirates booty and neon frosting years. You want it tough and cheap and universal. Since they're heavy to haul around and not trivial for install, you want one per kid per car. They are super easy to adjust; we can pull off a carpool in a pinch. They do take up a ton of space back to front…not for a compact car.
Owns SIX; acknowledges less plush than Nuna and takes up space, but praises toughness, affordability, adjustability; practical choice for messy toddler years.
We have the graco dlx 4 in 1. It's one that grows with them and has some cup holders for them ☺️
Owns the seat; notes grow-with-child feature and cup holders as practical benefits.
