Britax one for life. After switching to britax I'll never use another brand again.
Extremely loyal to brand after switching; 'never use another brand again' indicates strong preference over alternatives tried previously.
I skip infant seats. We go straight to convertible. We have loved the Britax One4Life. My toddler has always had issues staying awake if in the car longer than 5-10 mins in it because it is just so comfy. The Clicktight feature made installation 100% accurate and super fast for eveeyone.
Loves it; child falls asleep due to comfort; ClickTight makes installation '100% accurate and super fast for everyone.'
Britax one4life cool. We have three of them. I've have had several car seats. It is by far the easiest to install. I always hated installing my gracos. It is also FR free if that is important to you.
Owns three units; 'by far the easiest to install' compared to multiple other seats including Gracos; notes flame-retardant free.
I love love the Britax "click tight" feature. So so so easy to install! I looked at the new Poplar model but ended up getting a Marathon on sale.
Triple 'love' and triple 'so easy' emphasize enthusiasm for the ClickTight installation system; owns Marathon model.
We're Britax fans in our house. We just switched from the One4Life to the Poplar for my almost 4 year old because the Poplar is narrower and baby #2 is arriving literally any minute. We loved the One4Life but just needed the extra inches in the backseat. Both the One4Life and the Poplar allow rear facing up to 50 lbs or 49 in tall. For reference we also transitioned out of our infant seat at 6 months due to size. At the time he was around 95th percentile for height and 80th for weight. Right
Multi-Britax household; loved One4Life but switched to Poplar for width reasons (not quality); provides specific height/weight percentiles and limits.
Britax Clicktight models are amazingly easy to install safely, and most have machine washable/tumble dry capable covers.
Praises the ClickTight installation system and machine-washable covers as key practical advantages.
Britax. Love the belt tight system. My daughter has the poplar s and it's great! She's used it for a cross country trip and no issues. They're coming out with a 360 one next month they all the car seat/baby products reviewers are raving about! Edit: our infant seat was a Chicco keyfit 35, super high on safety reports but sooo heavy!
Loves the belt tight system; daughter used Poplar S for cross-country trip with no issues; excited about upcoming 360 model.
I personally remember really liking the britax brand because the Click Tight feature made accurate installation a breeze. This meant that my husband or mom could get a seat installed in their cars the first try and it was a good install. The weight limits for the latch system are pretty low so many more years were spent using a buckle installation the latch install.
Multiple family members could install correctly first try thanks to ClickTight; notes latch weight limit as minor consideration.
I like the Britax Clicktight Marathon. It's easy to install, easy to clean and it's still comfy when my 5 year old is in his.
Owns Marathon model; praises easy install, cleaning, and long-term comfort for 5-year-old showing years of use.
We have the Britax one4life and love it! It's a big bulky seat, but the install is super easy and it rear-faces up to 50 pounds.
Loves it despite acknowledging it's bulky; praises easy install and 50lb rear-facing limit.
If you move the seat once a month or more, consider a Britax click tight convertible. We have a boulevard, but the new Poplar model looks very nice.
Owns Boulevard model; recommends ClickTight specifically for ease of frequent removal/installation.
Britax poplar S. Rear facing up to 50lbs and is the easy click tight installation.
Recommends Poplar S specifically for its 50lb rear-facing and easy ClickTight install for frequently-moved seat use case.
I did a ton of car seat research for my son who is 99th percentile in height and settled on the Britax one4life. It has one of the highest harness heights apparently and rear faces to 50lbs. It's literally idiot proof to install and has a ton of recline positions. My only complaint is that it is hard to tighten the straps. My next baby I want to try the extend2fit because it's cheaper and rearfaces to 50lbs. I'm in Canada and those are the only 2 seats that I could find that rear face to 50l
Chose after extensive research for 99th percentile child; praises harness height, rear-facing limit, easy install, recline positions; complaint about strap tightening.
