I love my Elvie wearable! Some people say the suction is not enough, but I've never even put my spectra over a 4 so it's more than enough for me (and I don't even go to the highest level on the Elvie either).
"Love my Elvie wearable!" Suction is more than enough for her (doesn't need high suction). Counters the common "weak suction" criticism with personal experience.
I use elvy and love it. It's expensive but I find it drains me about the same as my spectra. I use it for overnight pumping so I can pump and feed. I'm 6wk post partum currently and have an oversupply so even if it doesn't fully drain me I'm ok with it. It's worth it for the extra sleep. Agree with heading over to the "exclusive pumping" subreddit. Very supportive and informative community!
"Love it." Drains about same as Spectra. Uses for overnight pump-and-feed combo at 6 weeks pp. Worth it for extra sleep despite cost.
I've been EPing with my OG Elvie as my primary/only pump for 9 months. I love them though I know that doesn't work for everyone. They are a little fussy to assemble correctly but pretty reliable once you get it right.
EP with OG Elvie as ONLY pump for 9 months. "Love them." Fussy assembly but reliable once figured out. Remarkable as sole EP pump.
I couldn't have survived pumping as long as I did without a wearable. I got to the point I hated the spectra. It's so clunky, and I couldn't do anything else while I pumped (couldn't comfortably use my arms in front of me to type or even scroll my phone). I always pumped in a closed office, but it was nice if I needed a quick bathroom or printer trip. I did a few comparison pumps and got the same as my spectra with the wearable (standard Elvie). Maybe over time it had an impact on my supply? (
"Couldn't have survived pumping as long as I did without a wearable." Same output as Spectra. Possible supply impact over time but worth it for sustainability.
I first started w/the s1, but after getting used to pumping, i switched to the baby Buddha and haven't looked back. I'm on my second EP journey and only use the BB (or Elvie double wearables when I'm on the go).
Uses Elvie double as on-the-go complement to Baby Buddha. Second EP journey. Specific use case as portable backup.
I had a spectra s1 and an Elvie and while I loved the elvie for portability/mental health reasons, the spectra was so much more efficient for me.
"Loved the Elvie for portability/mental health reasons" but Spectra more efficient. Positive for specific use case (mental health, mobility) despite lower output.
I love my Lansinoh! The purple plug in pump, I get the most milk with it. I also have the Elvie but and still figuring it out to get as much with it as I do my Lansinoh.
Has Elvie but still figuring it out. Getting less output than Lansinoh. Not negative but not enthusiastic yet — learning curve noted.
