Vava baby monitor! Doesn't use wifi, no app, really good quality video and sound, and provides great range while we move around the house and baby is sleeping.
Enthusiastic recommendation; specific: no wifi, no app, good video and sound quality, great range around house
No idea how it compares to others since we did minimal research and it's the only one we've used, but we have [this one by Vava](https://a.co/d/0dLR2jD6). This June we will have used it nightly for 4 years straight. No WiFi, gets the job done. Good battery life, monitor is USB-C rechargeable. Good night vision and range. We're in a 3-story townhouse now, and it works in every room 2 stories down, even the garage. I've walked the dogs with it and it starts cutting up out about 100 yards away (cl
4 years nightly use; specific: USB-C, good battery, night vision, works 2 stories down and in garage, ~100 yard outdoor range; 'gets the job done'
I got the VAVA and have been very satisfied with it. It is not wifi-based and has the option of connecting a second camera to it if you need it down the road.
'Very satisfied'; specific: non-wifi, expandable with second camera option
We didn't go the wifi route. My wife got a Vava and it's worked great for 2 or 3 of the kids. We had another non-wifi brand the name of which I can't recall and it got super grainy and I couldn't fix it.
'Worked great for 2 or 3 of the kids'; compared favorably to another non-wifi brand that got grainy; long-term multi-child use
We got a Vava for our first (4+ years ago) and it's still going strong. We just added a second camera for Sept2024. No WiFi, but video and sound. The night time video isn't the best. We joke it looks like a trail cam, but it is durable, easy to set up, and has lasted over 4 years, so it's hard to argue with.
'Still going strong' after 4+ years; added second camera; caveat: night video quality not great ('looks like a trail cam'); durable and easy to set up
