I've had the Philips for over three years with no issues. STM using it for both babies
Highly upvoted (20); exceptional durability β 3+ years, used for 2 babies with no issues; strongest longevity endorsement
Wasn't something we put on the registry as we didnt think we needed one. Counter space is limited here. That being said, we got the Philips Avent warmer as a hand me down from my brother and it is now a fixture on our countertop and we use it for every feed. One of those things we didn't think we needed but now we love it. Would recommend.
Despite limited counter space concerns, it became 'a fixture' used for 'every feed'; initially skeptical, now enthusiastic β 'we love it, would recommend'
Phillips Avent. I've been using it for 9 months, no issues, and different bottle brands fit (Tommee Tippee, Mam and Dr. Brown's).
Very highly upvoted (40); 9 months of trouble-free use; specifically notes compatibility with multiple bottle brands
Also use the Avent - it's worked for at least 9 months with zero issue and still plan on using it for baby #2
9 months of use with zero issues; planning to reuse for second baby; strong durability endorsement
We use the Philips one and I have had zero issues with it for the last 10 months!
Zero issues over 10 months of use; enthusiastic tone with exclamation mark; strong reliability endorsement
I got a Philips Avent as a gift and I thought it was going to be another thing that takes up space and didn't need. I was wrong. We put it next to the changing table, so every late night diaper change in those early weeks we just put the bottle in, and it was warm by the time you got done with the diaper change. It was really convenient and made those sleepless nights easier.
Initially skeptical but converted; specific workflow detail β next to changing table, bottle warm by end of diaper change; 'really convenient' and 'made sleepless nights easier'
The best one I've found is the avent warmer although I found I have to set it a little hotter when heating bottle and a little cooler when heating milk bag. It's by far the best and easiest I've used. Been using it for almost 6 months now with breast milk and formula, bottles and bags.
Highly upvoted (22); 'best and easiest' after trying others; 6 months of use with both breast milk and formula; specific tip about adjusting settings for bags vs bottles
I love the Avent fast. It's smaller/takes up less space than many, easy to clean and quick.
Loves it; cites three specific positives: compact size, easy to clean, and quick heating
I still use mine at 17 months. I got the phillips bottle warmer, it has definitely paid for itself with my little guy. I think it was only maybe $25CAD. They often go on sale, too! :) Most babies will take milk at room temperature, but being able to make a bottle ahead of time and placing it in the fridge was very helpful, especially when I was prepping 3 at a time (bedtime, morning, before nap bottle). I think I used it more when he was older, funny enough. Every baby is different, though! Y
17 months of use; 'paid for itself'; only ~$25CAD; describes specific workflow (prepping 3 bottles at a time from fridge); used it more as baby got older
Yes!! I am a nanny, soon to be mom, and I'm getting the same one my nanny family had: the Phillips bottle warmer. It was so convenient and easy.
Used it extensively as a nanny (professional experience); so positive she's buying the same one for her own baby; 'convenient and easy'
We have the Avent one for home and Baby's Brew for on the go. Really love both! We used the Parent's Choice for about a month and really hated that one. The plastic ring of the bottle was always burning hot when we heated up a bottle.
Owns Avent for home use, 'really love' it; comparative context β switched away from Parent's Choice which burned plastic ring; strong endorsement
I used both the Dr brown and I'm still using the Phillip avent one because my daughter still prefers warm milk! After having both, I would lean more towards the Phillip Avent because it fits different size bottles since their bottles are wider. My daughter used Dr brown bottles and I eventually switched her to the avent glass bottles so I'm glad I had the avent bottle warmer. She know uses the Dr brown with the straw since she's a toddler and I still put them in the avent warmer π
Used both Dr Brown and Philips Avent; prefers Avent for wider opening fitting different bottles; still using it into toddlerhood
We have the philips avent bottle warmer. I'd suggest looking for a second hand one. That's what we did, got it for $20 instead of the $50 it costs new and it's worth every penny.
Owns it, says 'worth every penny'; provides both new ($50) and secondhand ($20) price points; recommends buying used to save money
We had the phillips avent one. It was a great purchase. We started out doing the boiled water in a coffee cup but the bottle warmer was so much more convenient and at that stage of your life convenience is worth so much
Owned it, 'great purchase'; directly compared to boiled water method and found warmer 'so much more convenient'; values convenience during newborn phase
I use the Avent one and I love that it has a one hour "keep warm" function. It heats based on the size of the bottle but I use the 3 oz setting for a 6 oz bottle and its warm enough and faster. I also use it for heating baby food.
Loves the keep-warm function; shares specific hack (3oz setting for 6oz bottle for faster warming); multi-use for baby food
I have an avent bottle warmer and I love it. We just pour into a bottle, make sure the water is the right level, and press a button. Ready in minutes. My baby has taken cold milk when he's had to but I'm afraid it will hurt his tummy. If you end up not using it you can always gift it or sell it
Loves it; describes simple workflow (water level, press button, ready in minutes); practical advice about resale if unused
We really like our philips avent warmer. We have to remember to add water to replace what clings to the bottle when we remove bottles, but other than that it's been perfect for our use. No issues after 9 weeks of using it 7-15 times a day
Heavy usage (7-15 times/day for 9 weeks) with no issues; minor caveat about adding water; 'perfect for our use'
We just bought a simple Philips Avent that we found on sale for $10. Worth it during those early morning feedings
Bought it on sale for $10; says 'worth it' for early morning feeds; good value endorsement
We borrowed the avent warmer from a friend and it's so much faster.
Direct experience (borrowed from friend); 'so much faster' compared to the Keurig mug method OP described
Also had the Dr browns and it sucked lol. I use the Phillips avent warmer now!
Switched from Dr Browns (which 'sucked') to Phillips Avent; implicit strong endorsement by choosing it as replacement; highly upvoted
Try the Philips Avent one, we're using it for 3.5 months now and it heats up the milk fairly quickly and keeps the temperature of the bottle for one hour after it's finished warming. You're not choosing the temperature, just setting it to the amount of milk you're heating (150ml, 180ml, 210ml, etc.).
3.5 months of use; describes specific features β heats fairly quickly, keeps warm for 1 hour, mL-based dial settings
Our avent works great, and they're usually available on fb marketplace for like $15
Owns it and says it works great; provides value detail about secondhand price ($15 on marketplace)
I just carry around our Philips Avent bottle warmer. Simple and it's fast and I can use it pretty much anywhere there's an outlet.
Uses it portably; describes as simple and fast; only limitation is needing an outlet
The Philips avent one seems to work well for us. I pop it in before a diaper change and it's usually about ready when we're done
Highly upvoted (19); describes specific workflow β bottle goes in before diaper change and is ready after; practical endorsement of speed
I have the Phillips bottle warmer. It works well. You just put water into it up to the same level as the milk and turn the dish to the number of oz you have. If you find it makes stuff too hot, just reduce the number of oz on the dial. If your baby is formula only, you can probably get away with room temp water for the formula. Or at least that would be my goal, initially. Then work up to cold formula is you want to make a large pitcher of formula for the day. With breastmilk, baby is going t
Describes how the warmer works well with specific usage instructions (water level, oz dial), notes you can reduce setting if too hot; practical positive review
We use the Philips warmer since our kiddo won't drink as much if it's cold or room temp
Uses the warmer for specific reason (baby won't drink cold/room temp); straightforward positive with clear use-case justification
Used hot water to our first, got a Philips Avent for our second. Definitely makes life a little easier to have a warmer.
Upgraded from hot water method to Philips Avent for second child; says it 'makes life a little easier'; comparative positive
We use the Phillips one! It can be a little slow but we love it
Uses it and loves it, but explicitly notes a caveat about speed being 'a little slow'; positive with minor downside
Ive used both the philips and dr browns. Philips is definitely the most basic option and is super easy, but I did like how the dr browns doubled as a sterilizer. I used that one more often.
Used both Philips and Dr Browns; calls Philips 'super easy' and 'most basic' but ended up preferring Dr Browns for sterilizer feature; positive but not primary choice
I use the avent. I like that you set the dial based on the mL in the bottle. It's not always super consistent, so I try to test it with a finger before it's "done" to see what the temp really is. It also doesn't auto shut off so you have to be paying attention or it gets HOT. I usually feed her as she's waking up from a nap, so when I see her first start to stir, I put on a bottle and by the time it's done about 5 mins later, she's ready to get up and eat.
Uses it and likes the mL dial feature, but notes inconsistency and lack of auto shut-off as downsides; balanced β positive workflow but real caveats
I have the Chicco Digital Bottle Warmer And Sterilizer which has auto-shut off and beeps loudly when it's done. I also have the Philips Avent and have over warmed milk sometimes, but I was always able to cool it back down with cold water and it hasn't been an issue (just a pain when baby is in a hurry to eat).
Owns both Chicco and Philips Avent; notes Philips overwarms milk sometimes β manageable but 'a pain when baby is in a hurry'; balanced assessment
We have the Philips Avent one but barely used it. We found it took a relatively long time to heat up, which is agony when hangry screams are occurringβ¦ Then we discovered LO doesn't care if his bottle is cold, so we give him bottles straight outta the fridge and he's fine with that π€·π»ββοΈ
Owns it but 'barely used it' due to slow heating; describes it as 'agony' waiting while baby screams; abandoned for cold bottles
I use Dr. Brown bottles and have the Philips Avent Fast Warmer and I would NOT recommend the Philips Avent for DB bottles. It warms up fast, but the settings seem to be based on water levels relative to Philips Avent bottle sizes only, so I can never get the heating quite right and sometimes the bottles end up scalding hot. Currently I have to make 120ml bottles at the 90ml setting, and they still come out too hot sometimes. Also, I don't think the Philips Avent warmer will be tall enough once
Would NOT recommend for Dr Brown's bottles; settings calibrated for Philips bottles only; inconsistent heating, sometimes scalding hot; height limitation noted
We got a $15 Walmart one that works better than Phillips. Phillips takes FOREVER.
Used Phillips and switched away; emphatic negative about speed ('takes FOREVER'); replaced with cheaper Walmart alternative
I got the avent one. It sucks. Takes too long. Unfortunately I have a very gassy baby. And am worried cold milk will make it worse. So gotta listen to those hangry cries while the bottle warmer takes it sweet sweet time.
Owns it and explicitly says 'it sucks' and 'takes too long'; stuck using it because baby needs warm milk for gas; clearly frustrated
Our Philips Avent didn't last long, crapped out by 3mos. We have the papabilic one now & I LOVE it. Very consistent!
Owned Philips Avent but it 'crapped out by 3 months'; switched to Papablic; durability failure
