You'll definitely want to use a wall pump at least 1-2x/day because they're generally more effective than wearables. I have a spectra (actually 2, one from each baby) that I really like, and I also have an Elvie Stride that I love - I've worn it in meetings, in the lab, at the store, and have only been called out one by a 3-year-old in my older son's class who saw it on my waistband and asked what it was.
"Love" the Elvie Stride. Worn in meetings, lab, store — very discreet (only noticed by a 3-year-old). Real-world stealth endorsement.
I love the elvie stride. Did everything I needed, dishwasher proof and relatively easy to clean.
"Love it." Dishwasher proof, easy to clean. "Did everything I needed." Simple satisfied endorsement.
I had the spectra 1 and Elvie stride. Much preferred the Elvie stride functionally and got the same output with both.
"Much preferred the Elvie stride functionally." Same output as Spectra S1. Direct head-to-head comparison win on functionality.
For wearable- Got the elvie stride 2 and it's super easy to use and clean- only four pieces that pop together. Love that the motor is separate so it's not heavy like the momcozy that has the motor attached .
"Super easy to use and clean." Only 4 pieces. Separate motor = lighter than Momcozy. Specific design advantage.
I have the Elvie Stride 2 and love it. It offers hospital grade suction. It does have a cord, but I haven't had any issues with it. I typically wear the motor on my waistband when I'm moving around. The cups are small enough that I can hold baby, although it is still a bit awkward.
"Love it. Hospital grade suction." Cord not an issue, motor on waistband. Small cups allow holding baby. Specific about daily use with infant.
I have the elvie stride 2 and I would recommend it! I've had no issues though I only use it when I'm sitting at my desk and working from home so I can't talk to the experience of walking around while it's on. No leaks from the device, well made, lots of the nipple size option things to get your right fit. I think I chose the 2 over the elvie original because of the nipple sizes options that come with it, but I think I only paid $20-30 extra so at $100 more it might not be worth it. Honestly I th
"Would recommend it!" No issues, no leaks, well made, good nipple size options. Honest about limited use case (desk only). Stride 2 over original for sizing options.
I use the Elvie stride (original, apparently Elvie stride 2 is not too good on larger breasts). It is a pain in the ass to wash and dry, and needs to be completely dry for seals to be tight and avoid any milk leakage. It is also expensive and spare parts are stupidly expensive. I bought the Elvie Double pump secondhand for cheap but then paid quite a bit to get new plastic and silicone parts for hygiene reasons. BUT the positive thing is the motor is really powerful as is is not in bra — you cli
Powerful external motor, not in bra so lighter cups. BUT: pain to wash, must be fully dry, expensive parts. Balanced review with clear trade-offs.
Spectra 2 is my favorite (I have elvie stride, aveda mya joy, hyegia). All of them were 100% covered by my Blue Shield insurance.
Owns Elvie Stride but Spectra 2 is favorite. Neutral — has it, insurance covered, but prefers another pump.
