We got the HelloBaby and it's awesome. Its only $70 right now on Amazon. The video quality is great and it doesn't need wifi. The range is good. We can take it outside while shes in her room. It has an eco mode and the battery lasts a decent amount of time, and it could be plugged in if you want to keep it running for longer. Summary: inexpensive, good video quality, no wifi, 360 view of the room, wall mount, eco mode with 3 "cry volumes", and it can be moved to a table. All the things I wanted
'Awesome'; specific: $70, great video, good range (outside while baby in room), eco mode, 360 view, wall mount, 3 cry volumes, portable
We love our HelloBaby monitor. It was $60, it's a non wifi camera and comes with the parent screen console so you don't need your phone. Travels well, set up is easy. We don't use any of the additional "features" in terms of lullaby or 2 way talking or anything. We have it on a high cry sensor so the screen is off and dark until she starts crying and then the camera flicks on. Easy peasy! Edit to add: I recommend keeping the box it came in! We didn't when we first bought it and the screen was c
'We love'; specific: $60, travels well, easy setup, cry sensor mode that auto-activates screen; practical tip about keeping box
I have used the hello baby monitor with all of my kids. It doesn't use wifi, just plug in and use it anywhere - works great, has lasted a long time. https://a.co/d/0f5UvHvA
'Works great, has lasted a long time'; used with ALL kids (multiple); plug and play simplicity
I love my HelloBaby monitor. I tried a vtech first and it stopped working randomly. I was so close to dropping a few hundred $ on the nanit and im so glad i didnt. Non wifi is best so there's no chance of creeps spying on your kiddo.
'I love my HelloBaby'; chose over Nanit and glad; previous VTech failed; values non-wifi security
We have the Hello Baby monitor. It works great and it does not have wifi. I read too many horror stories of people having their baby monitors hacked, and really there was no need for us to have a wifi enabled monitor. We have about 2400 sqft in our house, and it works from anywhere in the house, and even reaches out to the back deck.
'Works great'; specific: covers 2400 sq ft house plus back deck; non-wifi for security
Hello Baby is serving us well, exceeded my expectations big time, no need to shell out the extra bucks for the infant optics.
'Exceeded my expectations big time'; favorably compared price-wise to Infant Optics
Love my hello baby monitor. Simple, great picture and sound, no wifi (haven't seen a reason id want it so far at 4 months) and easy to use
'Love my hello baby monitor'; specific: great picture and sound, simple, easy to use, no wifi; 4 months of use
Hello baby. Amazon. I've tried three different ones and all of them have failed for what I'm looking for. Hello Baby has come through now for two kida
'Has come through now for two kids'; tried three others that failed, Hello Baby succeeded; demonstrates reliability through comparison
We have a hello baby one. It's non WiFi, which is what we wanted. We have one at my moms house too that's the less recent model (little cheaper) and it also works great
'Works great'; owns two (one at mom's house); non-WiFi as desired; older model also performing well
We have the Hello Baby monitor. I love it because it is wireless so there's no hooking up to wifi or your phone. I was always nervous it would be hacked so that helped with that anxiety.
'I love it'; specific reason: wireless without wifi/phone eliminates hacking anxiety
We have the Hello Baby one. You can connect multiple cameras and it's super easy to operate. Battery life is good too.
Specific features: multiple cameras, 'super easy to operate', good battery life
We went with the very cheap Hello Baby monitor for $39. It's very cheap, no subscription, and does only what I need which is a handheld monitor plus audio that let's me see what's going on in the crib when I'm not in the room. I didn't like Nanit or other fancy ones that are hundreds of dollars and subscription based. Many of those start adding tons of features that make you *feel* safer and better off but in the end is additional information you just don't need to keep your kid safe. Stuff
Specific: $39, no subscription, handheld monitor plus audio; deliberate choice over expensive alternatives; does what's needed
We have a HelloBaby one, 0 complaints - non wifi too if you prefer that which we did
'0 complaints'; non-wifi as preferred; direct ownership confirmed
We also went non-wifi. We use HelloBaby, which has good quality and is expandedable to I think 4 cameras
'Good quality'; specific: expandable to 4 cameras; non-wifi
We use the Hello Baby HB6339 monitor and it's been very reliable, it's 2.4GHz instead of wifi which I prefer as wifi cameras have notoriously bad security. I have had very rare issues where it'll have a bad signal and drop connection for a few seconds but it's never dropped connection fully.
'Very reliable'; specific model HB6339; 2.4GHz non-wifi; minor rare signal drops but never full disconnection
We have a hello baby! Not sure about split screen but it comes with whatever number of cameras you want so you can toggle between them
Owns it; specific feature: multiple cameras with toggling between them
The wifi thing made us uncomfortable, is it super likely to happen to you (hacking), maybe not, but it does happen. I think if you want some of those advanced features like on a Nanit, or maybe you have a really big house I could see choosing one with WiFi. We went with a Hello Baby one with one camera and it's worked well for our needs.
'Worked well for our needs'; chose over WiFi options due to hacking concerns; straightforward positive
I've been using the Hello Baby monitor. It's a bit bulkier than others. But has many of the same features as fancier models. It's a closed circuit no Wi-Fi monitor. That basically mean while it's not unhackable- the creep would have to be within 200 feet of your house to hack it. It also has pretty decent range, and I can take out the trash to the curb while the baby is napping and still have a signal.
Specific details: closed circuit, range to curb, features comparable to fancier models; minor caveat about bulk
