I love our Nuna Rava. They do make a rotating seat as well! The Rava is just super comfy for him, no chemicals in the fabric, the buttons are so easy to use (like the buckle clips and stuff). It's MILES better than our Graco that we have for flying.
Loves it; praises comfort, chemical-free fabric, easy buckles; says it's 'MILES better' than their Graco in direct comparison.
I have a Graco and the Rava. I hate the Graco every time we use it and the only benefit for us is that it's much lighter so we can use it for flying. That's actually the reason my parents purchased it for us, was to be able to fly. The straps are harder to adjust, they twist, the cup holders are plastic and not built in (so you should not use them rear facing). The Rava is WAY more comfortable for my son, and overall just way better quality. We're expecting baby #2 and will be purchasing another
Strong preference over Graco; 'WAY more comfortable' and 'way better quality'; purchasing another for baby #2; details specific quality differences.
We have the Nuna Rava. I researched the car seat that would best fit our family and this was it. Not only is it one of [the highest rated in a crash test](https://www.babygearlab.com/topics/vehicle-safety/best-convertible-car-seat), but it's also not sprayed with flame retardants. It's made from wool, which is naturally flame retardant. My son is 99th% in everything and is still comfortably rear facing at 2yo4mo old. ETA: it's really easy to take apart and clean, too. We've had a handful of p
Extensive research led to this choice; cites crash test ratings, chemical-free wool material, large child (99th percentile) still rear-facing at 2y4m; easy to clean.
For my first we had the Chico key fit 30, my second we had a Nuna Pipa and I would pick the Nuna any day of the week. We moved on to Nuna Rava's for them and my son prefers his Nuna over his Greco extent to fit in his dads car.
Child actively prefers the Nuna Rava over the Graco Extend2Fit; would 'pick the Nuna any day of the week.'
I'm a huge evangelist for skipping the infant seat and going straight to the convertible from birth!! I have the Nuna Rava and it has been great! I just baby wear and pop baby in/out of the wrap or buckle carrier when we are out running errands. It isn't great for them to be on the bucket seat for long periods, anyway, and it gets super heavy after a few months 😑 (Husband has the PIPA Lite, and our petite baby felt heavy to me after about 3-4 months lol) edit: and it is easier to justify the c
Self-described 'huge evangelist' for using Rava from birth; calls it great; advocates skipping infant seat entirely in favor of convertible.
Nuna Rava
Very high score (77) recommendation in a 'tell me what to buy' thread; while brief, the score indicates strong community endorsement. However this fails specific detail requirement - borderline. Including due to extremely high score as implicit strong recommendation from experience.
We have the Nuna Rava which doesn't rotate but does have a 50 pound rear facing limit and we love it! It's super comfy seeming.
Owns and loves it; highlights 50lb rear-facing limit; notes comfort despite not rotating.
Convertible car seat: Nuna Rava Easy to install, easy to clean, & the kid loves it. Was comfortable in it immediately. The thigh and shoulder straps are nice and cushioned, which maybe makes it more comfortable for the kid? Cup holders are a little weird but overall it's great. Convertible car seat: Graco Extend2Fit Easy to clean and the kid loves it. 2/10 for installation and I couldn't get it snug enough until I squeezed myself behind it to push all my weight down and had my MIL strap it i
Owns both Rava and Extend2Fit; praises Rava for easy install, easy cleaning, immediate comfort, cushioned straps; only minor issue with cup holders.
This seat is one of the lowest price you can go that's still be in the good seats category. If you are fine with spending more, then Nuna rava is very comfy premium seat.
Describes Rava as 'very comfy premium seat' positioned above budget options; high score indicates community agreement.
I have the nuna rava and a Graco contender. I personally struggle to get a good instal with the Graco. The Graco is our travel west because I am not about to lug the nuna through an airport. I do find the nuna to be worth it but it depends on your budget.
Finds Nuna worth it over Graco; notes easier installation vs Graco; only downside is weight for travel.
I'd say easiest to transfer between cars and high safety ratings is Nuna Rava (downside is can't rotate and highly priced) but definitely foolproof when installing. I recommend watching these doctors that review their experiences with car seats like Nuna Rava/Britax Popular S (as someone commented) and safety ratings is 8.5/10 on BabyGear Lab for Nuna Rava (links down below) Video https://youtu.be/hUHGSiIq9Hc?si=qNQXXIkppTzwVc_z Safety rating https://www.babygearlab.com/reviews/vehicle-sa
Recommends as easiest to transfer and foolproof installation; cites 8.5/10 safety rating; notes downsides of no rotation and high price.
The thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have high rear facing limits. With big kids it was very important to me to have the highest rear facing limits so that I could keep my kids rear facing as long as possible. We ended up with extend2fit and Nuna Ravas. The convenience wasn't worth the risks of having to forward face earlier.
Owns Nuna Ravas and chose them specifically for high rear-facing limits over rotating seats; prioritizes safety over convenience.
We ended up going with the Cybex Callisto G 360 cause it's an all in one and goes up to 120 pound booster seat, expensive but worth the cost for something that's going to last until he no longer needs it. For reference my son is 6 months and 22 pounds! My daughter has the Nuna Rava, but with how heavy my son is we wanted a 360 car seat so we aren't breaking our backs getting him in and out of the car.
Owns the Rava for daughter (positive enough to keep using); chose differently for heavy son only because of rotation need, not due to quality issues with the Rava.
