The IKEA one is so big, my 2 year old still sits in it with plenty of room. I got a foot rest on Amazon and works great. I actually replaced my more expensive high chair for this one and love it
Replaced a more expensive chair with IKEA. 2-year-old still fits. Added Amazon footrest. "Love it."
Honestly, the Ikea high chair is amazing. It's so easy to clean, especially with the tray that can just be removed (I throw it in the dishwasher). You can buy some accessories for it as well. We have a foot rest and the Catchy and it's pretty much still cheaper than any high chair on the market.
"Amazing," specific cleaning method (dishwasher), mentions footrest + Catchy accessories, still cheaper than alternatives.
Love the Ikea one! It's $15 or $20, very lightweight, and easy to clean. People keep saying "you grow with the other chair" but you can buy other chairs as they get older and still have money leftover.
"Love the Ikea one," cites price, lightweight, easy to clean. Makes cost argument against expensive alternatives.
Ikea is $20 for the chair and tray. Add another $10 if you want to buy a cushion which you could probably just use a small thin pillow instead. We got the foot attachment for him to be able to place his feet off Amazon which was probably another $15. We bought the foot rest 5 months ago and it's been amazing.
5 months of use, specific costs cited ($20 + $15 footrest), calls it "amazing." Practical budget recommendation.
Honestly, the ikea high chair worked for us. Easy to clean, cheap to sell, and it's not like they spend a lot of time in it anyway. It's gonna get dirty and messy so whatever is quick in and out.
Practical endorsement: easy to clean, cheap, pragmatic approach to baby gear. Positive but not effusive.
The antilop turned out to be a major trip hazard for us. Don't know what was wrong with us but we kept tripping over the legs on the back.
Specific safety complaint: "major trip hazard," kept tripping over the back legs. Direct ownership experience with a clear problem.
Unpopular opinion incoming… People love the IKEA one & I gave into the hype but despiiiiise it. The tray isn't really supposed to be removable so it's beyond difficult to get off, and the legs stick out so far. It's also tight if your baby is thicker.
"Despise it." Three specific complaints: tray hard to remove, legs stick out, tight for bigger babies. Direct experience.
