I personally used my Solly stretchy wrap every day for the first 12 weeks with both babies. It was well worth it for me! When something helps your newborn baby be comfortable and peaceful, it's worth it ONE time let alone using it 100 times for several hours per time. After that, it's a lot about personal preference. Some town have carrier "libraries" so you can try a few. I borrowed a couple from friends for a couple days. Also, as long as the carrier is pretty well reviewed/considered to be

For newborn- solly wrap. We both loved being so close and cozy. After 3 months- happy baby OG. I can get baby in and out in about 30s, she loves it, and my back loves it.
'We both loved being so close and cozy' — specific emotional benefit of closeness during newborn phase; clear positive experience
Our baby is only two weeks old but I already love the Solly Baby wrap and my husband likes the Happy Baby. The Solly is so cozy and comfortable and she loves it. I could see it not working as well once they get older but for right now it feels fantastic. The Happy Baby is still pretty minimalist but has some more support. It looks great on a guy and is easy to get on and off.
'Already love', 'so cozy and comfortable', baby loves it, 'feels fantastic'; acknowledges may not work for older baby — honest current satisfaction
Loved the solly baby wrap when she was a newborn. I tried other more affordable wraps but they were too thick and too stretchy. The Solly is just the right thickness and stretch.
'Loved' for newborn; tried others that were too thick/stretchy — Solly has 'just the right thickness and stretch'; specific quality comparison

Stretchy wrap all the way. Once you get the learning curve, you will not regret it. They're so freaking comfortable and are extremely easy to pop baby in/out of since you just leave the wrap on. The thinner ones like Solly are also nice for the warmer months unlike other carriers which get really hot. And FWIW, I registered for a Sakura Bloom Scout (at the insistence of a friend who ended up getting it for me) and while it's truly gorgeous, I hated it. It was hard to tighten, get on/off, and t
Specifically praises Solly for being thinner and better in warm weather; 'so freaking comfortable', easy to pop baby in/out; direct comparison favoring Solly over Sakura Bloom
Another vote for Solly for newborn and hope and plum lark after 3/4 months! Just PLEASE learn how to safely position baby in any carrier you get. r/babywearing
Recommends Solly specifically for newborn phase with safety emphasis; experienced enough to know stage-specific progression
Love my Wildbird aerial carrier! I also have the Solly baby wrap, which I enjoy but don't feel comfortable using outside of my house yet. I also had a c-section and these do not irritate my incision area at all.
'Enjoy' but limited to home use; c-section friendly (doesn't irritate incision); positive but with noted confidence limitation for outdoor use
