I used the graco pac n play with the bassinet insert! It's like a part that hangs higher so its easier on mom at first. This isn't the exact one its been years but it was almost identical to this one on Amazon. We love our affordable and easy to set up graco pack n play and finding sheets for it is easy

We have the dome lx is one and our kiddo prefers it to his fancy maxi cosi bassinet lol. And honestly, it's fine to use as the primary — he's out growing the bassinet attachment so I might just call it a day and move the pack and play into our room,

Loved the graco pack n play! we used it for at least 3-4 months when our son was born to sleep in. We also used it for travel and it worked well for that. it waw easy to transport and not too heavy- I think he was able to fit into it up until 1.5 years then he would just sleep in between us when traveling. we used it for playing in sometimes but not often because he didn't like being confined. I had the graco pack n play close2baby play yard that had the bassinet piece and changing table piece

My newborn is currently sleeping in the pack n play as I type this. She seems equally content in there compared to the bedside bassinet. We got the basic Graco "Kaden" pack n play where you can raise the mattress to bassinet height. No changing table or baby dome attachments.

Our first was big (9lbs 10oz) and we did have both a bassinet and a pack n play (graco) but on different floors. The bassinet was next to my side of the bed on the second floor and the pack n play was on the first floor. That said, we probably used them equally but if we had limited space, I would probably opt more for either a big bassinet or a pack n play that had the attachment so you can adjust the height.
